District Awards Criteria for 2017- 2018

Here are the 2017-2018 Club Awards Criteria.  Please share this with your club officers, board, committee chairs, and members.  May I suggest that if you use this as a planning tool for the year, it will help you and your club soar to even greater heights.  All of these criteria are realistic and obtainable.

We are using a point system this year, which we feel will allow all clubs to be recognized for their efforts in the different Avenues of Service and categories, and at the same time, while striving to accumulate points for the award, be accomplishing goals that are beneficial to the club, and as a result, it’s communities, both local and global.  And isn’t that what it’s all about?

NOTE:  Point accumulation will begin with your club’s participation at The District Training Assembly on April 1, 2017.  Have members attend the District Training Assembly and begin accumulating award recognition points even before your year starts.

  1. Review the Club Awards Criteria carefully before the District Training Assembly on April 1, 2017.
  2. Items marked with an * (asterisk) may also qualify for the Rotary International Presidential Citation.
  3. Keep track of your Club’s progress throughout the year and input data in Rotary Club Central.
  4. The Club Awards Criteria forms are due midnight April 15, 2018 to your AG
  5. The President completes and signs the Club Awards Criteria and scans and emails to your Assistant Governor for review and confirmation of receipt.
  6. Attend the District Conference in Sacramento May 18-20, 2018 with your Club members to receive your awards, celebrate, and be recognized for your Club’s great work!
  7. There are awards for the following categories:
  • Club Service
  • Community Service
  • Foundation Giving (Annual Fund & PolioPlus)
  • International Service
  • Membership/Club Extension
  • Public Relations/Public Image
  • Vocational Service
  • Youth Service
  • Best Club Award
  1. Small Club – 35 members or less (14 Clubs)
  2. Medium Club  - 36 to 50 members (15 Clubs)
  3. Large Club – 51 members and above (17 Clubs)

You will be sent an electronic copy of this District Club Awards Criteria before PETS on March 3, 2017, and it will also be placed on the District website for download.

Please let your AG, Lt. Governor, or me know if you have any questions or concerns and if we can assist you in any way to help you make this your best year in Rotary.

May your Dreams Take Flight…

All Foundation contributions metrics and Membership data are based on the recorded numbers from ROTARY CLUB CENTRAL April 15, 2018 unless there is a written exception by the District Governor because of TRF Rotary Direct Deposits (which we will credit for the entire Rotary year) and late contributions not recorded by TRF, or new members inducted after of March 2018 and not being recognized on district and RI club membership roster.  Club projects, volunteer hours and showcase will be verified on Rotary Club Central (and Rotary.org).
